I would definitely have to say that General conference was amazing!!! Those last three talks in priesthood were what I got everyone else to refer to them as as the "Triple Threat" They were three great talks! If you could send me the text for ElderPackar of the seventies about being attentive to the spirit that would be awesome, I think either that one or elder uchtdorfs "Light Bulb: talk was the most inspiring for me!Food choices are getting old! Haha I never eat the main lunch meal I always go salad or a wrap, and fruit or granola for breakfast! Dinner is usually either a wrap or the main meal if it is healthy and looks palatable! We decided that everything tastes the same here and its cooked in the same pan so just eat whatever! Haha... if I have the willpower the next four weeks I can Guarantee I will come out having lost a few pounds!
The easiest thing with the language would be getting the Vocab words while the hardest is switching the order to Subject Object Verb and putting the right subject, object, and ending markers and conjugations on them. Wish I would have listened more in english. :)
Tuesdays I wake up and do laundry at six eating a bunch of fruit and sack breakfast for breakfast then we go get suits on and go do personal and companion study for an hour each... then I fold laundry, get a sack lunch, write letters or go on a walk outside If I can get one of the other elders to go, then head up to the temple at three. The temple is a great place! :) then we eat and go to the devotionals!
Alright goofy story, one of the elders in stewardship or zone was doing situps the other day in Gym and dislocated his shoulder, don't ask how it just happened! Lol he now has to have major surgery tomorrow and all sorts of junk! My district is absolutley awesome all of us get along well and compliment one another Its seems as though we were placed together on purpose!
And yes WE LEAVE MAY 11! Yahooo..... at least that is what we have been told we wont know for sure ti'll we get our travel plans!
The MTC is great even if a little to confining and restrective on my opinion!Love you, play some tennis for me!Your son,Greg

March 24, 2009 update

Hey!!!!So its bright and early tuesday morning I got my companion out of bed early so that we could get our laundry done and have plenty of time to do everything else that needs to be done in the day A.K.A Sleeping and learning more Korean Vocab. In short never an empty time slot here in the MTC for a nap and I am making one! This week My companion and I were made Zone leaders, itsa kind of wierd that the older group we are here with is leaving next Monday, it seems as if we just got here and it has been almost a month and two weeks!THis last tuesday we had the opportubnity to hear from ELder PErry on the value of companionships it was a great talk! ELder Perry was funny throughout most of it realizing how hard most work while here at the MTC and wanting to provide more of a relaxed atmosphere! Not much going on here its mostly the same routine! the Korean language is a fun one and is starting to click more for me as I study hard all day. COme to think of it I don't think I ever studied this hard in school... oh...wait... I never studied for school and still pulled good grades! To bad thats not possible here in the MTC! So hows tennis going? I can't tell you how much I miss playing with everyone I see the bright sun and think WOW what great tennis weather... Oh... wait I don't get to play! Greatly appresiated would be a can of fresh tennis balls in the next package, you know how I'm addicted to that smell! LolIN short the MTC is great I'm in an awesome district and we work hard but laugh hard with one another as well! Sure miss everyone back home!Love, Elder Grant

April 1, 2009 update

Well this week has been quite the adventure! Its been basically the same as last week except we know have our ZL duties... AKA signing the older district out Sunday night! Talk about hectic... we had to make sure everything was clean and sparkly and then sign their paper or they couldn't leave! HahaWell this week I have a cold stuffed up, cough... I'm the last one in my district to catch it. I thought I might actually get away from it but it caught up with me! LOl

With the older district gone it is rather dull here at the MTC... there are only eleven korean speaking elders now so things stay pretty quiet!Nothing much else changes from week to week... they try and cram as much Korean down our throats as possible and most of it goes in one ear and out the other so you hope that you take good enough notes that you can reteach yourself afterward. Haha, it feels like I'm in Ms. J's mathclass only I could have her tutor me after school, here there is no after school it is all school! Lol

How are the little boys doing? Have you heard news on North Korea's Satellite? The big talk here is that some big war will start and we will all end up serving state side english speaking! I'm not sure if that would be a tragedy or a blessing! Haha JK it would be a tragedy I can't wait to get over there.
